Start by separating the roles
The buyer defines the intended application, technical specifications, quantities and delivery requirements. ProcAL helps structure the enquiry, identify suitable partners and coordinate the exchange of information. The selected manufacturing partner evaluates production feasibility and carries out the agreed manufacturing work.
This distinction matters when comparing quotations. Clarify who is responsible for each activity, what is included in the proposed supply and which items still need confirmation. Manufacturing, inspection, packaging and transport should be addressed explicitly in the project scope.
Keep decisions connected to the same information
A drawing revision, material change or revised quantity can affect several parts of a quotation. Use a shared reference for the current specification and record the decisions made during the review. When a question changes the brief, confirm the answer before treating the scope as settled.
- Identify the current drawing revision and the person responsible for technical approval.
- Confirm the quoted material, quantity, finish and inspection requirements.
- Agree how production updates and open questions will be communicated.
- Clarify packaging, delivery arrangements and the relevant documentation.
Agree the checkpoints for your project
Different projects need different checkpoints. A prototype may require feedback before a series is discussed. A replacement part may need a sample review. A repeat batch may depend on a confirmed drawing and inspection plan. These steps should follow the project requirements rather than a generic promise.
ProcAL can coordinate discussions about quality requirements, manufacturing progress and logistics with the relevant parties. Any inspection criteria, delivery commitment or additional service must be defined for the individual order. A clear point of contact helps organise the conversation while keeping the roles and agreed responsibilities visible.
Begin with the information you have. A focused RFQ lets ProcAL and the prospective production partner identify what can be evaluated and what needs clarification before the next decision.
